Oddworld Inhabitants
We were invited to redesign the existing Oddworld website, moving it away from a 'blog' style look and feel to something that better represented the brand.
Oddworld is a long running popular videogame series that started out on the original PlayStation and will see a 'HD' remake of 2005's 'Stranger's Wrath' launching this December on PlayStation 3.
The design work involved taking the existing WordPress CMS as the skeleton and building a bespoke theme on top which better presented the more important information - like quick links to the new game - and incorporated social networking and a stronger emphasis on user interaction with Facebook-powered logins for commenting.
The development also included custom WordPress enhancements, including admin-side controls to allow the client to easily add videos, screenshot galleries and links to reviews of the games.
