A comprehensive Strategy document for Glasgow City Council's Cultural and Leisure Department. The challenge was to breathe life into what was an informative, but text heavy piece of communication.
With a very limited budget, the brief was to design a showcase document for Glasgow's current and future plans for the city's Cultural and Leisure Services.
The solution was to make clever use of supplied and commissioned photography and create unusual juxtapositions reflecting the diversity of services in Glasgow. Images of a child diving into a Monet water lily painting and a basketball game amongst the priceless Robert Burns manuscripts at the Mitchell Library were amongst those created for the document.
The document design was very well received by public and private stakeholders and, in turn, inspired a launch event where acrobats performed amongst early African sculpture at the city's Burrell Collection.
