999 was commissioned by Arts & Business Scotland to design and develop a fresh brand identity, website and online application process for their new grant – Culture & Business Fund Scotland.
Our brief was to fully convey the value of the arts, heritage and business sectors working together and the benefits and opportunities this creates, including the opportunity for growth, brand awareness, community value, tourism and creative development.
The creative concept we developed centres around the theme of multiplicity. Visually, the brand communicates the coming together of creative thinkers and methodical minds to forge mutually beneficial relationships with endless possibilities.
Core to the website brief was the creation of a sophisticated online application area that would enable users to complete the entire fund-matching process online. As the existing paper-based application forms were cumbersome for both users and Arts & Business Scotland’s administrators, the aim was to make the whole experience less laborious all round.
We designed two complex, multi-section forms to be as simple to use as possible. All aspects of long web form UX were covered such as logical section breaks, additional help text and an autosave function to give users complete peace of mind.
The forms were integrated with Salesforce to allow applications and all supporting documents to be logged and tracked through to the evaluation stage via a bespoke CMS dashboard and the client’s CRM system.
Filling in the new Culture and Business Fund form is the start of an exciting journey for all applicants. While nobody likes filling in forms, we have created a genuinely intuitive user experience that won’t stand in the way of any organisation making that first crucial step to bringing their creative ideas to life.
