Puffin Books wanted to generate a buzz around Paul McCartney’s Hey Grandude picture book and help children connect with older relatives and loved ones over lockdown 2020.
We brought the characters of the book to life in an online competition and campaign website which allowed children to create personalised digital postcards and share special messages with their loved ones on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the #GrandudePostcard hashtag.
The campaign brought a much-needed feelgood factor over lockdown with hundreds of competition entries and heart-warming messages, exceeding all marketing targets and expectations in a difficult year for many families.
