Scottish Empty Homes
Brand Identity

The Scottish Empty Homes Partnership, funded by the Scottish Government and Shelter, has been set up to encourage long-term empty homes back into use to help end housing challenges.

Challenge

Scottish Empty Homes' ambition is to be the pioneering experts in bringing privately-owned empty properties back into use. They needed a brand that would help them achieve this serious objective with an element of fun to ensure they were perceived as friendly and approachable.

Approach

We refined the creative development in line with the client's brand values, landing on a route which reflects their friendly yet forthright identity while clearly conveying the advisory aspect of the service and the support provided by the partnership.

Solution

We designed a logo with lower case lettering to reflect the friendly and approachable values of the partnership. A never-ending marque reflects the continual determination of the brand and a vibrant and contrasting colour palette represents confidence and creativity.

Result

A distinctive brand and visual identity with clear messaging and taglines to allow Scottish Empty Homes to amplify their brand position and their mission in all brand communications.
